I do enjoy carrabbas but i went to the boynton one recently and was disappointed. The food was good/average, my family enjoyed theirs more than i did. They were out of a few things we tried to order first though which i found unusual for a chain restaurant. I wouldn't say the service was terrible, but i got the vibe from the waitress that she didn't want to be there, which annoys me. She wasnt rude per say but she wasnt friendly and seemed pre occupied. The thing that upset me the most that night was my drink. I ordered a margarita and it was terrible. It was my birthday and i was really looking forward to it. I took a few sips and then just gave up and didn't drink it. I actually even questioned if there was even alcohol in it! It tasted more like a really bad lemonade prepared in nasty tap water. I didnt feel comfortable to tell the waitress i wanted something else, perhaps if she were nicer, and she didnt notice either that my full drink was sitting there and not being drank. Maybe you shouldnt order margaritas from carabbas? I don't think i would return to this location in particular. Olive garden has a really tasty margarita and friendly service.

I actually like Carrabbas and their service is usually excellent. Tonights service was exceptional but I can only give them 3 stars for this visit because I ordered a Caprice salad and they ran out of tomatos... An Italian restaurant and tHey RAN OUT OF TOMATOS! I had a bar / nightclub and tht would be like me running out of vodka or rum.... it never happens... there is a supermarket up the street that has tomatos... the manager should have taken rhe ride and bought a case of tomatos... its an Italian restaurant!

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants. Carrabba's would be one of them, if it wasn't for the fantastic service from our waiter, Adam F. We ordered their Antipasti Plate, which consisted of their calamari, fried mozzarella, and Bruschette Paolo. The bruschetta topping was a marinated roasted red bell peppers and goat cheese spread seasoned with fresh herbs... that was SO tasty! While I liked the calamari at first, it quickly became WAY too salty. I had to stop after about 4 pieces. Adam was on his game - when I asked what he recommended in terms of sides for my main course, he was friendly and helpful. I tried their Chianti Kiss (as per his note that most guests enjoyed it) and it was indeed a good choice. My dining companion had the chicken marsala with the garlic mashed potatoes (MMM!!) while I tried a new menu option, titled Spiedino Di Mare - fresh grilled shrimp and scallops in a lemon butter sauce. My companion kept trying to steal the lemon butter sauce on the plate! Oh, the bread and olive oil (and spices)? So... GOOD! I wanted that stuff again the next morning with breakfast. :) Overall, I'm not saying they're a top-notch food place, but because of the awesome service and pretty good food, I was pleased.

Very disappointed. Had the calamari as appetizer, supposedly a small portion but enough to feed a small village. It was ok but slightly over cooked and a bit rubbery and not quite enough dipping sauce. Main dish was the house specialty of Fettucini Weesie and I'm sorry but the chef tried to kill me by smothering the pasta and the few giant shrimp in a cream and cheese concoction that overpowered all my taste buds and gave my liver a heart attack. Cesar salad was ordinary at best. Coffee was excellent and mini-canoli were a bit tough, I was expecting a little more flaky and slightly brittle.

It pains me to write this, but... I actually like this place. I normally do not like chain restaurants as they have unimaginative, lackluster food catering to everyday average Joe (no offense intended). However, here I always have good service, the calamari is very good and the chicken trio is tasty. There are other good items on the menu too.

Rebecca our server in the bar area was superb! Our move to South Florida has left us sadly disappointed with the customer service down here. We miss the northern states and their class and attention. Rebecca was beyond expectations! We will be back! She needs recognition for her skills that she performs effortlessly!! We will definitely go back, as always the food was perfect!!

went with my family the other day, worst experience I ever had Three dishes were burnt, and my wife's shrimp was bad. The server quickly put the food on the table and ran. I finally was able to get her attention by the time my father and my son were almost done with their food. The offered to remake the dishes and I declined because the point was to eat together, not in shifts and it was getting late. will never go back.

We eat here on a regular basis. The food is good fresh and nice atmosphere. We have been going here for 20 years, back when they gave my daughter fresh dough, she would make something, they would bake it in the oven and return the baked item to her. Here's what I don't like, we walk in the restaurant its half empty, plenty of booths open! So why do they insist on asking you if you want to sit in the bar area on hitops? This happens every time we come in! So if it's such a problem redesign the restaurant and replace the hitops with booths. I am sure you can afford to do this. You just totally remodeled the place this year!

I have to give credit to Carrabba's for trying hard. It may not be particularly authentic, but the food here is solid and the service is friendly and obviously well-trained. You're not going to find anything adventurous or deeply creative here, but sometimes I just want a big, yummy portion of chicken parmesan that I don't have to think about too much, paired with a nice glass of wine... and Carrabba's fits the bill for these times. It may not be a replacement for authentic Italian, but Carrabba's still beats out many of its pasta chain peers like The Olive Garden any day of the week.

For a resturaunt chain Im impressed! They offer the largest 2 for 1 Happy Hour throughout the resturaunt even at the tables while dining and the food was excellent so much flavor goes into everything. the fresh bread with olive oil served as you are seated is so good. For starters we had the Calamari it was served with a hot pepper relish. It was so good the Calamari was overflowing on the plate. This time I tried the woodburning pizza with fresh Mozzarella so crispy. the service was excellent & personable. I hear there is one in Islip LI so I think we must plan a trip just for the Calamari.

If you are stuck here because your family had to meet somewhere that everyone would "like" and that was reasonably priced, fine. If you come here on your own accord, you need to start evaluating your life choices.

For the third time in 5 years my wife and I had dinner at Carrabbas. The TV ads are enticing. The bar was packed. We were seated after about ten minutes wait and server was pleasant. I had a memory of a more extensive menu but might be mistaken. The lasagna was soggy and not as described as "like your mamma used to make". My mamma made better. Salad satisfactory. Sorry. The adequate meal was just that and despite a more pleasant atmosphere and younger clientele I prefer the salad and menu selections at Olive Garden.

So very disappointed! We used to come here all the time and always had great service/food, however in the last 6-8 months the restaurant as a whole has gone down hill. We tried coming back hoping we would have a better experience but Tonight was my breaking point. There were 6-8 open seats at the bar but the dishes were not yet bussed so I asked the bartender if we could sit once the dishes were cleared. He said no problem and began filling the bar tickets. About ten minutes passed and I asked again if he or another person was going to clear the plates, etc. and he nodded his head and moved along to another task. After another five minutes I slid the plates into a pile myself so my husband and I could sit down. He promptly came over and asked if we'd like a drink which was quick. It took a bit longer to get menus and we placed our app order when he brought the menus. About fifteen minutes went by and when I asked about the app he said just a few more minutes. It came out about five minutes later....stone-cold. When it returned it was obvious they had re-fried the calamari... it just got worse from there. Salads were wrong and dinner was brought out right behind the salads. The entrees were "ok"....Very bummed one of the few chain restaurants we actually liked has gone so far downhill....

I wish that I knew the waitress' name. She was outstanding. I came here one night with my sister. We order the appetizer sampler and replaced some items to make the platter vegetarian. The zucchini appetizer is absolutely amazing. The oil and seasoning that comes to dip the bread is sooooo good. I do love the food here. However, I don't come here too often because I end up eating a lot of pasta and pizza. Overall, the one waitress I had was amazing. The food is delicious. I am very happy with this location.

Needed to get some thing to eat at home after I stressful day at work, I decided to order and was there precisely when my order came out. I ordered ciopini, an Italian seafood medley consisting of mussels, clams, crabs and shrimp & substitutions could be made, but my order specifically mentioned mussels which were not special, and 4 of my clams didn't open. I have rated there in the past physically and it was basically the same. Last time i would care to visit this young, misguided, uneventful flop.

The appetizer bread is absolutely fantastic. The pizza isn't amazing but it isn't bad either. Too much sauce and the crust is very oily but it was pretty good. Ok service. Not too good not too bad.

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. So bad it was almost comical, but I swear to you I did not make this up. I called ahead for a table at 7pm. When I arrived I was told 25-35 mins for a wait. Not sure why call ahead was an option if this was the result, but ok, it was Saturday night. 25 mins comes and goes. 35 mins comes and goes. At 45mins I walk over to check what is going on. "You're next, sir". Ok. 55 mins, I check again. "You are the very next table." (Nevermind I see other parties being sat). We actually don't get seated until we've waited 110 mins. I spoke with the manager at this point. I was polite, just making the statement that if I have to wait an hour tell me an hour, don't tell me half that and then lie to cover it up. I didn't even want to start in on the call-ahead nonsense. She comp'd an appetizer and I thought that would be the end of it. Boy was I wrong. Our server, although quite nice and friendly, was extremely inattentive. She had four tables in our section and was rarely at any of them. It took us 30mins to get an order in. Drinks were rarely refilled, we saw our food runner more than our server. It was a miracle the order was accurate. To add to this about halfway through our meal the ceiling began leaking on us. I know this sounds unbelievable, that everything was going wrong, but seriously I kid you not this actually happened. We were told (once we flagged down our server) that it was the A/C "sweating" (doesn't really matter - seems like a code violation regardless of the cause - it could have been our food), and the solution was asking us to stand so they could drag the table into the aisle. Finally to add insult to all this injury the food was not even that good. It wasn't bad, but for the quality you got it is severely over-priced. However the experience was the real issue here. Horrible. Including the initial wait our entire dinner experience was over three hours long. Mind you we skipped desert as we wanted to get out of there. I cannot recommend this establishment, especially since the board of health should be looking into the mysterious water leak. But if you must go (maybe you lost a wager) go during the week... early... and watch out for A/C vents.

Saturday was my 1st of many many more to come! Wait time without a reservation was a bit long.... about 45 mins or so.... but well worth the wait! Pretty crowded inside and made it difficult to place the high chair for our youngest dining guest but also a good sign of good food to come! Ordered drinks: Pomegrante Martini is delicious! Like seriously delicious! Ordered Calamari as the appetizer... quite a bit of food (shared three ways) The bread for the table with the oil mixture dip is sooo tasty! Soo many tasty options to choose from but I chose Chicken Bryan with pasta and caesar salad as my choice! Caesar Dressing is made on the premises!!! My other dining guests had 'The Johnny' and 'The Classic' both of which were absoulutely great as well. Our server was pretty good. She wasn't pushy even though it was crowded and there was a lot going on! Since we were celebrating two birthdays, we split a cannoli! Yummy!! SN: They sing Happy Birthday in Italian :) I'm planning my next visit as I type this review... I can not wait! Only thing holding it back from 5 stars is cause its a bit pricy and yours truly is looking for the best at the best prices! Had a great experience though as a first timer and will return!

Awesome! I can't believe we got food like this from a chain restaurant on so many different occasions! Tonight my husband and I celebrated our anniversary by eating here--we wanted great food and were too lazy to drive anywhere else. We order take-out several times a month so that we can have delicious cooked food without the usual fast stuff. I had the tilapia with hazlenut sauce, and fresh asparagus. My husband had the 24 oz filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We started out with a flatbread, of spinach and cheese--fab. For dessert, we split the best chocolate brownie, cream, mousse concoction I have ever had. The steak was perfect---the delicate tilapia was lovingly cooked by somebody just for me on a crowded saturday night. Impressive. The waiter was awesome--they always are at this location. My fussy sisters in law like this restaurant very much as well. I hope they stay busy and keep up the great quality.

Great meal, great service. We had a great server named David and he couldn't have been nicer. He promptly brought over some delicious bread with oil and seasonings. We split a meal (no charge) and it came in two separate plates (salad and the meal). Also had a great calamari appetizer (small), large would have been too much. Had two for one martinis during happy hour. Life is good!!

We decided to come here for a friend's birthday after Olive Garden had a longer wait. The two mojitos definitely had a kick to them. The antipasti bite plate was large enough for us to share and it was decent with the mozzarella sticks and bruschette. I'm with Tiffany's review on the ceasar salad part. I love it! The chicken and spinach cannelloni was ok. I thought it needed more spices. Oh well, we had a good time starting off the night sitting outside in the beautiful breeze. Lovely! :)

My favorite chain restaurant for Italian. It stinks like Parmesan upon entering which I personally think smells like vomit so it turns me off for about 10 minutes. The bread and dip is really good to munch on. The sauce surprisingly tastes like home made. The portions are huge and the meatballs are really good. I have several favorites which is not usual for me at a restaurant.

Carrabba's has the best cesear salad that I've had hands down. It always tastes amazing. It's a chain restaurant so there's not much else to say. The atmosphere is cozy, dimly lit and it's ALWAYS busy regardless of what night of the week it is. My experience varies since there are so many different waiters/waitresses. Since it's still fresh on my mind, last night my experience was not as good as it usually is. I've ordered the fettuccine alfredo many times (Pasta Carrabba) with no chicken and I was charged the full price for it even though there was no meat on my plate. The waitress explained herself to say that I said Pasta Carrabba so she rung it up as such. In the past, they rung it up as a make-your-own-pasta dish which is usually priced at 9 or 10 bucks. We didn't fight with her we just took it off her tip. Anyway, other than last night most of my experiences at Carrabba's has been positive.

Some things right, some things very wrong. Just ate there and I was glad to see that they had a bar and a fair selection of wine. However, the layout of the place sucked. There was no room and it felt very cluttered. We were seated at a table that was next to a walk-way and it was located on a key point of egress so that waiters and waitresses had to dodge around our table to serve dishes elsewhere in the restaurant. Another thing that caught my attention was the olive oil dip for the bread. The herbs in it were very overdone and likely had no place in a bread dip. The bread was closer to a cheap supermarket French baguette than anything "Italian". The lobster ravioli was crap. A frigging joke. Also, the mashed potatoes were scooped out of a metal tub rather than freshly made and were seriously over-peppered. Another thing...you call that Marsala? Olive Garden's got better sense than that. Given all of these things I find this restaurant seriously overpriced. Now for positives: The menu was well-designed and not overloaded so choosing wasn't an impossible task. Additionally, the waiter was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed, the ambiance could be better, but as far as design goes the place looks nice at least. Improvements that could be made are: -De-cluttering the dining area, especially walking areas frequently used by staff. -A little less kitchen exposure (we don't wanna see dirty plates while we eat). -Either lower prices or improve the food quality. Once some of these changes go into effect this place could be 4+ stars. To be honest I'm not too surprised...it is Florida.

It's definitely not your Granny's Sunday sauce but if you want large portions of consistently good food and only slightly overpriced, this is the place for you. Curbside carryout is the best! They pack everything up, including the awesome crusty bread and a side of olive oil with dipping spices, then walk it out to ya and hand it right in your window. Don't pass up the spicy chicken soup!

My husband and I love this place. Really the only negative thing I would say is that I think they need to replace the carpets or something. Everytime we go there it smells like feet or maybe it's the Parmesan cheese. Other then that we love it. Bathrooms are always very clean as well.

I have only been to a Carrabba's once and it wasn't that bad. i looked at it as if it were an Olive Garden. However, i trusted the judgment of my boyfriend so i gave it a shot. Carrabba's? More like CARBabba's! Goodness- pizza, pasta, breads, oh my! Not bad though. Just be prepared for heavy American-Italian food.

I'll preface this review by saying I went here on Christmas Eve and it was unusually busy. That said, I have to agree with the negative reviews on this place concerning terrible customer service. The hostess was very flippant and barely acknowledged customers. When I asked the manager about her, he claimed she's very consistent and had a couple of earlier negative incidents. That's no excuse as a person with the right temperament and experience knows not to allow bad customers to impact their work. My companion and I both ordered wine which was served in dirty glasses. The waitress did exchange them when we pointed them out and gave us fresh wine. The waitress was pleasant, but not very attentive, would disappear for long periods and never asked if we wanted additional drinks. Our order was very slow to arrive, though a couple of tables were served and nearly finished by the time our dinners came to the table though we were seated before them. As this is Boynton, I hesitate to say that the place is not minority friendly, but have a strong suspicion this may be the case. Regardless, the customer service is terrible, even for South Florida standards. My recommendation is to avoid this location and if you have to do chain Italian, Olive Garden or Rotelli's would be better options.

I love this place - and I am ashamed of myself for falling in love with a chain restaurant! But really, the food is always good, the service is always good, the wine is always good! It is our fallback restaurant - the one you go to when you can't decide where to go to. I've had everything on the menu (but the fish - don't like fish) and it has all been good. Never hesitate to dine here.

My family ate at this Carrabba's this afternoon, taking a break from moving my elderly mother to a new home in Florida. Our waiter, Matthew, was attentive and pleasant and most of the food was good. Unfortunately, the kitchen seems to have problem getting orders out. When our first courses arrived, one of three bowls of the soup of the day that were ordered didn't come out and we had to request it. The food was delivered by other wait staff, but our waiter came out with the missing bowl soon enough. But, when our entrees arrived, one of the six entrees wasn't included. After waiting a while our waiter came back and we told him about the problem. He apologized, went inside, came back after a while and said it would be out in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, after those of us who had been served were done eating, I went inside to see what the issue was. As I was standing there, out waiter came past with the missing dish. When it was served it was apparent that it was an appetizer size and not an entree sized. He voluntarily assured us that we would not be charged, and we weren't. Never did a manager come out to apologize or explain the delay. I do not fault the waiter, who seemed genuinely embarrassed by the problem, but the restaurant did nothing to establish new customers.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
